Fuji Mountain Race Volunteer Participants

On July 27, 37 1st-year students from Fujiyoshida campus, 5 pharmacy students (1 4th-year, 1 3rd-year, and 3 2nd-year), 8 Nursing School students, and 12 faculty and staff – in total 62 people – participated at the 71st Fuji Mountain Race as relief volunteers. The students rescued runners who became sick and also cheered on those who were trying hard to reach the goal.
The Fuji Mountain race starts from Fujiyoshida City Hall to the summit of Mt Fuji with an altitude difference of 3,000 meters and is known as one of the harshest races with a completion rate of less than 50%.
