Online Seminar Organized by School of Pharmacy and International Exchange Center

On February 1, the International Exchange Center and School of Pharmacy hosted an online lecture by Dr. Vilasinee Hirunpanich Sato, Head of Department of Pharmacology at Mahidol University, Thailand. Her lecture introduced the university system, research, and international activities of Mahidol University. Dr. Sato is a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) BRIDGE Fellowship Program invited researcher and was invited by the School of Pharmacy, Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Division of Natural Medicine and Therapeutics (Professor Kawazoe).
Prior to the lecture, the Dean of the Mahidol University Faculty of Pharmacy and Vice-Dean in charge of international exchange at the Faculty of Pharmacy offered greetings to the meeting attendees, and then chairperson Professor Itabe (School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Division of Biological Chemistry, and Chairperson of the School of Pharmacy International Exchange Committee) and moderator Professor Hashimoto (International Exchange Center) started the seminar. About 30 people, including Mahidol University faculty and Showa University students and faculty, participated.
During the Q&A session at the end of the lecture, Mahidol University’s Faculty of Pharmacy Dean and Vice-Dean answered students’ questions, and exchange was held in a relaxed atmosphere. Taking this online seminar as an opportunity, we will work on collaboration with Mahidol University, including not only the School of Pharmacy but also our other schools.
