Certificate of Appreciation from Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Showa University received a certificate of appreciation from the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for our support of the 2020 Tokyo Games.
111 people (95 faculty and 16 students) from Showa University volunteered during the games, primarily providing medical care at various places, such as the competition venues and the Olympic Village. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, our staff and students treated the injured and other volunteer activities without 1 person becoming infected. It was an unprecedented games due to postponement of this event, but we were able to successfully close the Tokyo 2020 Games.
