Welcome Party for International Research Fellows 2024/2025

On May 28, Showa University held their welcome party for the 2024/2025 international research fellows. This year’s fellows came from 6 countries, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Mongolia, Myanmar, the People’s Republic of China, and Romania. 9 international exchange students currently studying at Showa University also attended this event.
Additionally, for the first time in 5 years, representatives from the fellows’ embassies were invited, and officials from all 6 embassies came.
At the start of the event, Dr. Tadashi Hisamitsu, President of Showa University; Dr. Yumi Kamijo, Vice Chairperson of Showa University Board of Directors; and attending embassy officials gave opening remarks. Then, Dr. Takashi Miyazaki, Director General of the International Exchange Center, provided a toast before the reception dinner. 
During this event, the international fellows could deepen their exchange with the embassy officials, Showa University faculty, and other international students. In addition, they introduced themselves to the Showa University community and expressed their enthusiasm for doing research or clinical training at our university.
