What to prepare when visiting the hospital
Health insurance card or health insurance beneficiary card, applicable medical care subsidy certificate(s) (elderly medical service recipient card, physical disability certificate, etc.), referral (patient referral document) issued by another medical institution (hospitals, clinics, etc.), and your passport.

After entering the building through the front entrance, go to the New Patient Registration counter on the first floor. If you are a revisiting patient, use one of the Return Visit Check-in machines.1

Go upstairs to the second floor and sign yourself in at the reception for the applicable department/specialty.

The central guidance display at each clinic shows the consultation room number that each specific patient is to be seen in. Move to the front of the consultation room and wait there.

Consultation and examination
When your name is called, enter the consultation room to see the doctor. At the end of the consultation/examination session, make your next appointment with the doctor as required.4

Paying the fee
After you are done being seen by the doctor, use one of the medical bill payment machines to pay your bill.5

If your bill cannot be processed by the payment machines, go to the payment counter with your patient registration card and other required documents.

Obtaining medication
As a general rule, your medication must be obtained from an external pharmacy according to the doctor’s prescription. The prescription is valid for four days including the date of issue. Present the prescription, within four days from the issue date, to a dispensing pharmacy approved by the national health insurance system to obtain the medication.6
