About outpatient services
Close all
- Q1. I am visiting the hospital for the first time as an outpatient. Tell me what I should bring for admission.
-
- Your health insurance card and applicable medical care subsidy certificate(s)
- Referral issued by your family physician or other medical institution, addressed to this hospital
- Q2. Do I absolutely need to have a referral to receive outpatient service?
-
The primary mission of this hospital is to provide advanced and specialized medical cares to patients and therefore, as a general rule, we accept outpatients with a referral only. To promote greater efficiency and coordination among medical institutions in providing medical services for people who need them the most, we request all first-time patients to bring a referral (patient referral document) from other medical institutions.
(In extremely urgent cases or otherwise where it is unavoidable, an outpatient without a referral may be seen at the physician’s discretion, in which case a Selective Medical Care Charge (5,550 yen) will be collected in addition to the examination fee.)
- Q3. Do I need to make an appointment to see the doctor?
- You can still see a doctor without an appointment, but patients with appointments will be given priority. We recommend making an appointment by telephone before visiting the hospital. Even first-time patients can make an appointment with us if they have a referral (patient referral document) from other medical institutions.
- Q4. How can I pay my medical fee?
-
Refer to the following page.
- Q5. I do not have a health insurance card. What can I do?
- Outpatients without a health insurance card must pay the total cost of the medical service performed.
