生物化学部門は昭和医科大学1号館の3階、ちょうど図書館の真上に位置します。
2026年度より病態分子生化学研究センターに編入され、学部の枠にとらわれないボーダーレスな研究体制をとっています。

講座紹介

近年、科学技術の進展により再生医療や分子標的薬の開発が進み、医療も急速に高度化しております。このため、たとえ臨床スタッフであっても、進化し続けるテクノロジーに迅速に適応する必要に迫られます。本部門は、医療科学に対する高い見識を有し、将来にわたって医療現場やアカデミアの第一線で活躍できる人材を育成します。研究面では、mRNAスプライシングを起点としたRNA代謝物の多様性に着目しており、これを切り口として代謝性疾患、血管系疾患、がんを中心とした様々な病態の仕組みを紐解き、新たな治療戦略の構築に資することを目的としております。

学部生のみなさん
薬学研究入門では、最新の医療科学に触れてもらうことを目的としています。動物実験や遺伝子組換え実験、創薬シードのスクリーニング、ならびにiPS細胞の解析などを通して、病態の解明を行います。 授業や実習では味わえない、未知の現象や世界初の知見を探求する楽しさを感じてください。
当部門では、学年や学部を問わず研究に興味のある学生の研究活動をサポートします。特に熱意のある学生は、学会発表や論文出版もサポートしますので、将来のキャリアを先取りすることができます。将来学位の取得を考えている方はもちろんですが、何となく研究に興味がある方でも構いませんので、ぜひ研究室を訪ねてみてください。

大学院生のみなさん
当部門は、遺伝子改変動物や分子生物学的な手法を用いた研究ストラテジーが主体となっています。研究自体はメンターと相談のうえ進めますが、主役は皆さんです。研究は高度なアクティブラーニングであり、当講座では自身の力でブレイクスルーを生み出せる学生を高く評価します。まずは修了までに原著論文を出版することを目標としますが、特にインパクトの高い研究成果を狙う野心的な研究を応援します。同時に、自己満足に陥らず、自身の研究がどのように社会のために貢献できるのか、追求することを推奨します。研究は継続することが最も重要ですので、そのための研究指導はもちろんのこと、論文執筆、ならびに学振DC・科研費スタートアップの調書執筆などは講座全体で手厚くサポートします。大学院生・志願者のみなさんを歓迎します!
