Information
Before seeing a doctor
As a general rule, all first-time patients require to submit a referral (patient referral document) issued by another medical institution (clinics, etc.)
Patients who do not have a referral (patient referral document) issued by another medical institution must pay a Selective Medical Care Charge of 5,500 yen (tax included) if any of the following 1 to 4 applies:
- Patient who is visiting the hospital for the first time
- Patient who is visiting the hospital again after his or her previous treatment program ended
- Patient who is visiting the hospital again after his or her previous treatment program was suspended due to the patient’s personal reasons
- When the patient is otherwise deemed to be a first-time patient by the doctor

“Visa for Medical Stay”
